The 24th Anniversary and Ashta Bandana Mahakumbhabhishekam celebration at the Sri Valli Devasena Sametha Subramanya Swamy Sannidhi (R) Temple must have been a deeply spiritual and spectacular occasion! The carefully planned series of events leading up to the grand finale on “Thai Poosam” on January 25th, 2024 speaks volumes about the temple’s devotion and commitment to its community.
On January 23rd, the temple set the tone with a series of powerful rituals, including Ganapathi Homa, Navagraha Shanti Homa, Lakshmi Homa, and Special Dravya Homas, all aimed at purifying and inviting blessings for the temple and its devotees.
The next day, January 24th, saw more sacred ceremonies with Gow Puja, Dhana Puja Veda Stotra, Couple Sankalpa, and additional Dravya Homas that prepared everyone spiritually for the grand culmination.
The highlight of the event, the “Maha Kumbhabhishekam” on January 25th, was celebrated with great enthusiasm. The ritual, with the “Maha Mangalarati” and the distribution of Teertha Prasadam, must have been a sight to behold, marking the sacred consecration of the temple. The Kalyanostava of Subramanya Swamy and Lakshmi Venkateswara added a divine touch to the proceedings, bringing the blessings of the deities to all in attendance. And the Annadhanam – the offering of food to all devotees – reflects the temple’s unwavering dedication to its community, ensuring that everyone was blessed not just spiritually but also with nourishment.
The procession of Subramanya Swami’s utsavamurthi must have been a grand spectacle, with devotees joyfully participating, creating a sense of unity and devotion.
Overall, this event must have been an unforgettable celebration of devotion, culture, and community.
