ಶ್ರೀ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರ ಪರಿಚಯ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಮಧ್ಯಭಾಗವಾದ ಕನಕಪುರ ರಸ್ತೆಯ ಬಸವನಗುಡಿಯ ಸಾಕಮ್ಮ ಗಾರ್ಡನ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ಇರುವ ಶ್ರೀ ವಲ್ಲಿದೇವಾ ಸೇನಾ ಸಮೇತ ಸುಬ್ರಹ್ಮಣ್ಯ ಸ್ವಾಮಿಯ ಶ್ರೀ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದ ಬೀಡಾಗಿದ್ದು ಸದಾ ಕಾಲ ಭಕ್ತರಿಂದ ಆವೃತವಾಗಿರುತ್ತದೆ ಈ ದೇವಾಲಯವು ನೂರು ವರ್ಷಕ್ಕೂ ಹಿಂದಿನ ಇತಿಹಾಸವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದೆ ಮೂಲಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸುಬ್ರಹ್ಮಣ್ಯ ಸ್ವಾಮಿಯ ಸಣ್ಣ ಗುಡಿ ಇದ್ದು ಇಂದಿನ 50 ವರ್ಷಗಳಲಿ ತುಂಬಾ ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ಧಿಯಾಗಿ ಬೆಳೆದು ನಿಂತಿದೆ.
ದೇವಾಲಯ ಸಮುಚ್ಚಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಇರುವ ಶ್ರೀ ಸುಬ್ರಹ್ಮಣ್ಯ ಸ್ವಾಮಿಗೆ ಸದಾ ಮಂಗಳವಾರದಂದು ವಿಶೇಷ ಅಲಂಕಾರದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಪೂಜೆಯನ್ನು ನೆರವೇರುತ್ತದೆ ಹಾಗೂ ತಿಂಗಳಲ್ಲಿ "ಷಷ್ಠಿ" ಪೂಜೆ ಹಾಗೂ "ಕೃತ್ತಿಗೆ" ಪೂಜೆಯು ವಿಶೇಷವಾಗಿರುತ್ತದೆ ಇದೇ ರೀತಿ ಜನವರಿ ತಿಂಗಳಲ್ಲಿ "ತೈಪೂಸಂ" ನಂದು ದೇವಾಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ವಾರ್ಷಿಕೋತ್ಸವ ಹಾಗೂ ಹೋಮ ಮತ್ತು ಹಾಲಿನ ಮೆರವಣಿಗೆಯ, ಅಭಿಷೇಕ, ಅನ್ನದಾನ ಹಾಗೂ ಉತ್ಸವ ಮೂರ್ತಿಯ ರಾಜಭೀದಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮೆರವಣಿಗೆಯನ್ನು ಪೂಜೆಯನ್ನು ಹಮ್ಮಿಕೊಂಡಿರುತ್ತೇವೆ ಮತ್ತು ಆಗಸ್ಟ್ ತಿಂಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬರುವಂತಹ "ಭರಣಿ ಕಾವಡಿ" ಪೂಜೆಯು ದೇವಾಲಯ ಅಲಂಕಾರಗೊಂಡು ಪೂಜೆಯು ನಡೆಸಲಗುತೆ.
ಗರ್ಭಗುಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಸುಮಾರು ಎರಡುವರೆ ಅಡಿ ಎತ್ತರದ ನಯನ ಮನೋಹರವಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ವಲ್ಲಿ ದೇವಾ ಸೇನಾ ಸಮೇತ ಸುಬ್ರಹ್ಮಣ್ಯ ಸ್ವಾಮಿಯ ವಿಗ್ರಹವಿದ್ದು ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಅನೇಕ ಪವಾಡಗಳು ನಡೆಯುತ್ತದ. ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಲ್ಲದವರು ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗಾಗಿ, ಯುವ ಜನತೆ ನೌಕರಿಗಾಗಿ, ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಆಯುಷ್ಯಕ್ಕಾಗಿ, ವಿದ್ಯಾಭ್ಯಾಸಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಇನ್ನು ಹಲವಾರು ಹರಕೆಗಳ ಕೋರಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಭಕ್ತಾದಿಗಳು ದೇವರ ಮೊರೆ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಾರೆ ವಿವಿಧ ಹರಕೆಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು ತಮ್ಮ ಕಷ್ಟಗಳಿಗೆ ಪರಿಹಾರ ಹುಡುಕುತ್ತಾ ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಬಂದು ನೆಟ್ಟಿಸಿರು ಬಿಡುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಎಣ್ಣೆ, ದೀಪ ಹಚ್ಚಿ, ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಹಣ್ಣು, ಕಾಯಿ , ಪಂಚೆ, ಶಲ್ಯ, ಸೀರೆ, ಮಾಂಗಲ್ಯ ಪ್ರಸಾದ ಮೊದಲ ಸೇವೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ.

Sri Valli Devasena Sametha Subramanya Swamy Sannidhi Seva (R) Temple of Lord Subramanya Located in the heart of Bengaluru, on Kanakapura Road in Basavanagudi at Sakamma Garden. This sacred place is always enveloped by the devotion of countless devotees. With a rich history spanning over a century, the temple originally began as a small shrine dedicated to Lord Subramanya. Similarly, in August(Aadi Masam), the temple is beautifully adorned for the "Bharani Kavadhi Pooja", where special prayers and rituals are conducted.
Inside the sanctum sanctorum, there is a beautiful idol of Lord Subramanya, accompanied by Shri Vallideva Sena, standing about two and a half feet tall. This idol is believed to be the source of numerous miraculous occurrences. Devotees visit the temple with heartfelt prayers for various blessings – childless couples seeking children, the youth praying for employment, those in need of good health and longevity, and students asking for success in their education. Many devotees bring their pleas to the deity, seeking solutions to their struggles, and leave the temple after offering their thanks. Common offerings include lighting oil lamps, presenting fruits, coconuts, panche (traditional cloth), sarees, mangalya prasad (auspicious gifts), and other items as a mark of devotion.
